Improved Annotation System
In the current Workflow 2020, Bioracer offers clients the ability to clearly communicate their feedback by making annotations directly on pre-rendered images. Clients can draw shapes around specific regions of interest and add accompanying text, pinpointing precisely what needs adjustment. While effective for immediate revisions, this annotation feedback isn’t logged once the project is approved, making it impossible to revisit earlier discussions and decisions later in the process.
Furthermore, annotations in Workflow 2020 are clients-only, limiting designers’ ability to provide clear context and rationale for their creative choices.
Expanded Annotation Capabilities
To address these issues, Workflow 2026 introduces significant enhancements:
1. Annotations for Both Clients and Designers
- Now designers can also create annotations during project setup, highlighting specific design choices or potential production concerns.
- Designers can mark certain annotations as “approval markers”, requiring explicit client acknowledgment before final approval. This ensures clarity, accountability, and reduces production errors.
- Designers can leave annotated feedback specifically for production, ensuring particular areas receive the necessary attention during manufacturing.
2. Annotations on 2D and 3D Images
- Annotations remain available on pre-rendered 2D images for straightforward feedback.
- Additionally, users can capture still images directly from any angle within the Cloud 3D Model Viewer, and annotate these images to precisely communicate feedback on complex, three-dimensional design elements.
3. Centralized Annotation History
- All annotations—both from clients and designers—are automatically logged within the Project Chat.
- These annotations become a permanent, searchable part of the project’s communication history, providing transparency and reference long after approval.
Benefits at a glance:
- Improved communication: Visual annotations simplify conveying and understanding feedback.
- Enhanced accountability: Approval markers ensure clients explicitly acknowledge critical design points.
- Transparency and clarity: Complete annotation histories accessible at any time.
- Reduced misunderstandings: Designers clearly communicate their creative intentions; clients clearly articulate revisions.
- Flexibility: Both 2D and 3D annotation capabilities accommodate all project needs.
With the upgraded annotation system in Workflow 2026, Bioracer is taking a big step toward clearer, more accountable, and more streamlined project communication, ensuring everyone involved—designers, clients, and production—stay perfectly aligned.
